Semaphore recently announced new ratings for their newest product, the T-BOX WM “Wireless Monitor.”  This product has passed all third-party tests for installation in Class I, Division 1 hazardous areas and for an IP67 enclosure rating.

This approval is applicable to installations throughout the natural gas industry and allows the Wireless Monitor to operate in areas in which gas is expected in the atmosphere as often specified in well site / production applications.

The IP67 rating exceeds the Nema 4 rating that is most common in RTU products and allows the Wireless Monitor to be temporarily submerged.  This applies best to applications in the water & wastewater industries but broadens applications in all industries requiring installation in remote areas.

T-BOX WM is ideal for low-I/O count applications such as monitoring of combined sewer overflow, gas line pressure, tank levels, and water levels.  Its use of D-size, lithium ion batteries gives it both long life and a compact size.

Semaphore T-BOX RTU Product Line

In addition to the Wireless Monitor, the T-BOX line also includes two, other models: T-BOX LT (“T-BOX Lite”) and T-BOX MS (modular system).

In a single, compact, DIN rail package, T-BOX LT provides Ethernet, a modem or wireless communication device, two serial ports and up to 32 I/O points.

T-BOX MS caters to much larger processes.  Using up to 20 modules, T-BOX MS can accommodate up to 16 communications ports and over 800 I/O points.  A broad variety of modules allows T-BOX MS to meet the needs of virtually any application.
